Urban Construction, a Madison-based MBE firm, won contracts for masonry and steel stud work at the Urban League's Center for Economic Development & Workforce Training.

"In the construction business there is a certain pride felt when your job is completed around the knowledge that your project will be there for a lifetime for everybody to see. And it means even more when your construction team is working on the main centerpiece of the revitalization of the neighborhood you grew up in. 'Projects will come and go, but this one will last forever in the minds of DeAngelo and I because it's based right here in the community that we grew up.'"
