The Urban League Center for Economic Development & Workforce Training was recognized earlier this year through the most prestigious and competitive capital challenge grant program in the nation. At the time, we needed to raise $650,000 in order to receive this $380,000 Kresge Foundation grant. The community has continued to show its support, and now less than $150,000 remains to be raised! We need your help not only to complete this move to maximize our impact, but to ensure adequate funding to enhance and expand our programs. Join us!
FOSTERING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
In remaining true to our mission, the Urban League has set a 22% goal for participation of women and disadvantaged business enterprises - among the highest ever for a development project in Madison. The latest figures show that we are exceeding this goal at nearly 30%.

GREEN LEADERSHIP
The Urban League believes that we have a responsibility to sustainable development. In fact, we are pursuing a rigorous Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Certification.
