2013 WORKPLACE DIVERSITY SUMMIT ATTENDEES: MAKE A DONATION OF $50 OR MORE BEFORE MAY 31, 2013 AND RECEIVE AN "I AM AN URBAN LEAGUER" T-SHIRT.

Whether you’ve donated $25, $2,500 or $25,000, whether you have volunteered or attended an event such as our Workplace Diversity Summit, or whether you are considering making your first gift to the Urban League, you have taken the time to visit us and learn more, and that makes you an Urban Leaguer!

Urban Leaguers like you have helped make a difference in the lives of so many in our community. More than two thousand middle and high school students in Dane County are on track to college via in-school tutoring, workplace internships, college scholarships and ACT preparation programs. Hundreds of unemployed or underemployed adults are getting training and jobs through Work Readiness Academies and Featured Employer Job Seminars. We’re proud to be a part of their success. Is it enough, though? Of course not. It’s never enough.

Before this year ends, hundreds more unemployed adults will seek our help in finding work and our middle and high school aged young men and women will seek our help realizing their academic goals. We need your support so that we can be there for them. Please consider making an investment.

Every dollar counts!

  • $25 will provide bus passes for an unemployed adult to get to and from job interviews.
  • $100 will help an unemployed adult create a career development plan.
  • $250 will provide a full semester of math tutoring for a struggling student.
  • $500 will provide ACT test preparation for potential first generation college students.
  • $1,000 will provide career readiness training and one year of job coaching for adults striving to gain employment.
