Dorothy Cotton served as the Education Director for the SCLC Under the direct supervision of Dr. King. She served on Dr. King’s executive staff even accompanying him to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She was recently featured in an ABC special with Peter Jennings and she has spoken and traveled extensively throughout the world. Her ability to rouse an audiences to join in words and song bearing messages of hope has been written about by the Washington Post. This will be her first visit to Madison.
